Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Casablanca airport, we will escort you to your hotel where you can relax and unwind from your travels. If time permits (which may vary depending on your arrival time), we will explore the vibrant economic hub of Morocco. This includes a visit to the bustling central market, the charming Habous district, the regal Royal Palace, the grand Mohammed V square, the posh Anfa residential area, and a glimpse of the impressive Hassan II mosque. Afterward, we will transfer you to your hotel where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night.
Following breakfast at your hotel around 8 AM, we will explore the most captivating places in Rabat before embarking on a journey to Chefchaouen, famously known as the blue city. This charming tourist attraction located in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco is admired for its traditional architecture. You can take a leisurely stroll around the medina and the markets that showcase unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is an ideal destination for photography, with its breathtaking views of the Rif Mountains. Once we've completed the city tour, we will drop you off at the hotel in Chefchaouen where you will enjoy dinner and spend the night.
Embark on a journey to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, which is located 166 kilometers away and takes about 2 hours to reach. Situated at the base of the Jebel Zerhoun, this site has been inhabited since the Mesolithic era and was occupied by the Carthaginians before being taken over by the Romans. While exploring this historic site, you'll get to see many notable landmarks, such as the House of Orpheus, Decumanus Maximus and Triumphal Arch, the House of Dionysus, the Four Seasons, and more. Following your visit to the Roman city, you'll proceed to Meknes, and around 4:00 PM, you'll drive to Fes, where you'll have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.
Explore the rich history and cultural significance of Fes, the oldest imperial city, on a full-day guided tour. Founded in 808, it served as the first political, religious, and cultural capital. We will begin our visit with the magnificent Golden Doors of the Royal Palace. From a vantage point, we will behold the ancient and impressive medina walls. Then, we will proceed on foot, experiencing a myriad of sensations as we explore the mosques, madrassas, and religious sites, culminating in the Tanners' district. After lunch (included), you will have free time to visit the artisanal neighborhood, where Andalusian art and style still thrive, giving Fes its well-deserved reputation as the city of artisans. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Your driver will collect you from your riad/hotel in Fes at 8:00 a.m. for a journey to Merzouga, the location of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. This will be an 8-hour trip that takes you over the Atlas Mountains and through Tafilalet, the largest oasis in southern Morocco, which consists of numerous villages, palmeries, and two main Saharan towns, Erfoud and Rissani. We'll stop several times along the way, including in the alpine town of Ifrane, the Azrou cedar forest where monkeys can be seen, Midelt for lunch, and Ziz valley for panoramic and impressive views of the palm trees and green valley in the middle of the Sahara. Our journey will take us deeper into the desert landscape until the dunes suddenly appear out of nowhere. You'll spend the night in a Berber-tented camp on a camel trek.
After breakfast, we'll ride camels back to the hotel located at the dune line for a quick shower. Then, we'll drive towards Ouarzazate via the Todra Gorges, which are canyons towering 300 meters high. You can take a peaceful hike and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. As we continue on the road of 1000 Thousand Kasbahs, you'll see many enormous kasbahs on both sides of the road. Although some of these old fortified houses are restored, unfortunately, many of them are in ruins. We'll pass through the Dades Valley and the city of Roses before reaching the Skoura palmery, where you'll see a huge number of Kasbahs such as "Amrhidil" surrounded by gardens and palm trees. You can either spend the night in Skoura or drive another 25 minutes to reach Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we'll start our day by visiting the cinema sets and studios in Ouarzazate, which has earned the nickname "Hollywood of Africa." Following that, we will head to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which has been featured in over 20 movies including "Gladiator," "Indiana Jones," and "Lawrence of Arabia." Stroll through the Kasbahs to admire the unique Moroccan style of architecture. Our journey continues through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n'Tichka pass with a lunch break in the midst of the stunning Atlas Mountains. We will then drop you off at your Marrakech hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
The entire day will be dedicated to exploring Marrakech, which is the second oldest imperial city and is also known as the Pearl of the South. It was established by the Almoravides towards the end of the 11th century. Our historical sightseeing will include a visit to the Yves Saint Laurent Garden and the Koutoubia. We will have lunch at a local restaurant and in the afternoon, we will visit the souks and handicraft quarters, which showcase a variety of unique items. We will also visit the famous Djemaa El Fna Square, which offers continuous entertainment. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at the hotel.
After enjoying breakfast in the morning, we will assist you in transferring to the airport based on your flight schedule, leaving you with unforgettable memories of your time in Morocco.
